Body Composition Assessments

The evaluation of body composition includes the study of various body constituents (muscle mass, body water, among others), in addition to body fat, which is very associated with the evaluation or diagnosis of obesity. The different body constituents have an impact on health and performance, especially in sports where the athlete/practitioner has to support/carry his own body mass (his weight). The evaluation of the body composition of athletes/practitioners allows the obtaining of information about the athlete’s profile, morphology and nutritional status.
The detailed information on the body composition of athletes that allows to measure the momentary level of their performance and development potential, but also allows to identify needs and opportunities for intervention in order to improve performance, but also the athlete/practitioner’s own health. The assessment of body composition performed repeatedly over time will also allow monitoring the effect of training, as well as different training and nutritional needs throughout the sports season as well as states of form at different times.

It is recommended that all athletes, regardless of their level of form and performance, regularly perform the assessment of their body composition so that they can make the best of their training process and enjoy the best way while safeguarding their health and optimizing their performance potential.

Basic assessment

The basic assessment of body composition allows access to information about your current state of the moment in relation to this component of the physical condition. This assessement includes:

  • Elementary evaluation of simple anthropometric measurements;
  • Evaluation of various body constituents (fat mass, body water, muscle mass) by the bioimpedance analysis method;
  • Report with information and classification of body composition.

Advanced assessment

The advanced assessment of body composition allows access to information about your current state of the moment in relation to this component of the physical condition. This assessement includes:

  • Advanced anthropometric evaluation with complete profile;
  • Evaluation of various body constituents (fat mass, body water, muscle mass) by the bioimpedance analysis method;
  • Detailed report of the evaluation and optimization of body composition.

Nutrition - performance optimization

The Nutrition consultation – performance optimization allows to evaluate the diet and identify errors, needs or opportunity to optimize the diet to improve health and performance. This consultation allows you to obtain basic information on ways to optimize performance with nutritional support. The performance of nutrition consultations – optimization of performance repeatedly over time allows a monitoring of the diet in order to optimize its suitability to the different moments and phases of the sports season and the physiological responses and needs observed.
